Audrey Tautou has been added to the cast of Ron Howard's adaptation of Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code.
French newspaper Le Parisien reports that the actress is to play Sophie Neveu, an investigator who aids Tom Hanks' symbologist Robert Langdon in his murder investigation.
Tautou, 26, has previously starred in Amelie and A Very Long Engagement.
Filming is expected to begin in June in hope of releasing the movie on May 19 2006.
