Martin Scorsese earns DeMille honour

The Oscar-winning Departed director will receive the prize for his "outstanding contribution to the entertainment field", reports IndieWire.
Scorsese was awarded a Golden Globe in 2003 in the category of 'Best Director' for Gangs of New York and again in 2007 for The Departed.
Steven Spielberg, Warren Beatty and Anthony Hopkins are among recent Cecil B. DeMille Award winners.
The 2010 Golden Globes will take place on January 17.
