The Grey's Anatomy actor joins Kristen Bell, Cher, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cumming in the musical drama set in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The 37-year-old will play a successful businessman looking to win Aguilera's heart and buy the club from Cher's character.
The film, directed by Steve Antin, will be released around Thanksgiving next year.
Dane will also appear in romantic comedy Valentine's Day, scheduled for a February 2010 release.
