'Precious' helmer in talks for 'Selma'

Scripted by Paul Webb, the project takes its name from the Alabama town that witnessed a historic civil rights march in 1965.
Brit producer Christian Colson (Slumdog Millionaire) is to oversee the project through his newly-formed Cloud Eight Films company. Brad Pitt's Plan B firm is co-producing Selma, which is due to go into production in the spring.
Precious, winner of the People's Choice prize at the Toronto Film Festival, will be released in the UK on January 29, 2010.
