Wasikowska, Fassbender for 'Jane Eyre'

Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender will lead the cast of BBC Films/Ruby Films's new Jane Eyre production.

Wasikowska, who plays the title role in Tim Burton's upcoming Alice In Wonderland film, will portray governess Jane opposite Fassbender's Edward Rochester.

Moira Buffini has adapted the script from Charlotte Bronte's classic novel. Sin Nombre helmer Cary Fukunaga signed up to helm the picture last month.

Jane Eyre will begin production next year under the supervision of producers Alison Owen and Paul Trijbits.
