Beckham's movie debut halted

David Beckham has been left disappointed after Real Madrid coach Wanderley Luxemburgo put a stop to his movie debut.
Beckham had originally planned to film scenes for soccer film Goal! last week. However, his plans were halted when Luxemburgo stepped in at the last minute.
A source told the Sunday Mirror, "Beckham was gutted. He was really looking forward to doing the film. This was due to be his first Hollywood break and it's about his big passion - football.
"But Luxemburgo pulled the plug at the last minute. He's been threatening to clamp down on his players' activities outside football so they can concentrate on improving their form on the pitch.
"It's made it difficult for Beckham as he's signed the deal to star in the film. But Luxemburgo has made it very clear his acting career is not his top priority while he's at Real Madrid."
The movie's producers are now hoping to negotiate with Luxemburgo to come up with a new arrangement. Other stars including Zinedine Zidane and Raul had also hoped to appear.
The source added, "They are confident they'll come to an arrangement with Luxemburgo. They are hoping he'll agree to let Beckham and his team-mates film their scenes sometime next month.
"It's set to be a massive film across the world and they're desperate to have Beckham in it. But Luxemburgo is a strict disciplinarian and demands hard work and professionalism from his players."
