Producer Joel Silver has promised fans that the long-awaited Swamp Thing 3D movie is on its way, but not before Halloween 2010.

In an interview with Collider, Silver also took the opportunity to update fans on the progress of fellow comic adaptations Lobo and Sgt. Rock.

Commenting on Swamp Thing, he said: "It’s happening so we’ll see what happens. I mean, it’s something I’m excited about doing and I want to hopefully pull that off, so we’re working on that now."

When asked if it would be released in time for Halloween next year, Silver said he "didn’t think" it would be ready that soon.

He admitted that he was not certain what the current state of play with Lobo was, after those involved with the project recently filmed a big test.

"It’s up to the studio to make the decision what they want to do. So, I’m waiting to see if they want to make that movie," he said.

Finally, when asked about the planned Sgt. Rock film, Silver said that director Francis Lawrence "has got a real vision of this thing, and if we can pull it off it’ll be a great movie".
