Stewart becomes lefty for 'Runaways' role

Kristen Stewart has become left-handed for her latest role in The Runaways.

The 19-year-old actress, who portrays Joan Jett in the biopic, spent time with the iconic rocker to study her mannerisms, Teen Hollywood reports.

Jett, a consultant on the film, said that she was impressed with Stewart's ability to learn how to write with her left hand.

She said: "I'm a lefty, too - not guitar-wise - but in my handwriting and so she switched that up, too; she started writing left-handed."

The Runaways, which stars Stewart and Dakota Fanning, recently found a distributor through Apparition.
