Carib Chief Charles Williams is in a dispute with Disney over their planned portrayal of his ancestors as cannibals in the sequel to Pirates Of The Caribbean.
His communications with Disney representatives revealed that the film will involve "a strong element of cannibalism in the script which cannot be removed", reports the BBC.
The movie will be filmed in Dominica, with many Dominicans acting as extras. However, Williams and other Caribs strongly disapprove of the way in which their ancestors will be portrayed in the movie.
He explained: "Our ancestors stood up against early European conquerors and because they stood up...we were labelled savages and cannibals up to today.
"This cannot be perpetuated in movies."
