Despite reports that production on the movie adaptation of Dark Horse comic Sin City - written and illustrated by Frank Miller - will begin in the second half of 2010, Rodriguez indicated that the status of the sequel to his 2005 film is less certain.
"I can't say no, because I don't know it's no," Rodriguez told Coming Soon. "I know Frank wants to do it. I know I want to do it. It's always sort of a 'time permitting' kind of thing.
"But it's not like I can tell you definitely we're starting. It's not my next picture, I know that. It doesn't mean that it's not the picture right after because that's still a possibility."
Rodriguez recently announced that he is working on a reboot of the Spy Kids franchise.
