Eighties cop show Miami Vice is to be resurrected for the silver screen.
The movie adaptation will star Alexander's Colin Farrell and Oscar-nominated Ray actor Jamie Foxx as Florida law-enforcers Crockett and Tubbs.
A writer for the show, Michael Mann, will write and direct the Universal production. He worked previously with Foxx on Collateral.
Foxx can next be seen in Rob Cohen's Stealth, while Farrell will next feature in The New World, directed by Terrence Malick.
