'Precious' named best film of 2009

The Oscar-tipped feature, which has already received numerous Golden Globes and SAG award nominations, has been honoured by Rolling Stone magazine as the top film of the year.
The Lee Daniels-directed drama, which is produced by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, stars an ensemble cast that includes Mo'Nique, Gabourey Sidibe, Mariah Carey, Paula Patton and Lenny Kravitz.
Other films included in the top ten were Up In The Air, The Hurt Locker, Where The Wild Things Are, (500) Days Of Summer and The Messenger.
Precious, based on Sapphire's novel Push, is currently playing in the US and arrives in UK cinemas on January 29, 2010.
