Mia Wasikowska felt "isolated" on 'Alice'

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the 20-year-old Australian explained that she found it difficult to act on greenscreen sets.
"I was basically planted in this sea of green," she said. "I really had to use my imagination."
Tim Burton's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's fantasy story, which casts Wasikowska in the title role, sees Alice return to Wonderland 12 years after her first visit.
"She's grown up a lot and is somewhat a different person, and she's kind of going back to her roots and discovering herself," Wasikowska added.
Discussing her character's relationship with Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter, she said: "Theyre on the same side. They have an understanding about each other. They both feel like outsiders and feel alone in their separate worlds, and have a special bond and friendship."
