Google moves into cinema listing space
Published Thursday, Feb 24 2005, 02:50 GMT | By James Welsh
Google is now offering US cinema listings as part of a new movie search service.
The new "movie:" operator can be added to searches to bring up film-related information. Examples cited on the Google Blog include "movie: one ring to rule them all," which returns information and reviews on The Lord of the Rings. Using the "movie:" operator followed by a zipcode or city, state combination returns cinema listings for that area.
