Published Friday, Jan 8 2010, 08:32 GMT | By Hugh Armitage

The movie adaptation of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr's comic will have its first screening on March 12 at the independent and interactive media festival - commonly called SXSW.
"Kick-Ass is a truly fun ride, with non-stop action, clever humour, and even heart, which is exactly what our audience has come to love and expect from SXSW every year," said film conference and festival producer Janet Pierson.
There have been advance screenings of incomplete versions of the film but this is the first time the finished version will be shown to the public.
Kick-Ass will be released in cinemas April 16.
