Awards went to Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church and Virginia Madsen for their performances in the movie, which also won an Oscar this weekend for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Director Alexander Payne and co-writer Jim Taylor were honoured for their writing achievements, before their work went on to be named Best Film.
