Matthew Broderick has claimed that he would not appear in a possible Hollywood remake of his hit film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Broderick starred as the title character in the 1986 John Hughes comedy. Speaking to Cinematical, he said that he wouldn't mind seeing a Bueller remake happen sometime soon.

"It would be fine. I would be perfectly happy for somebody to do that," he said.

When asked if he would take a cameo part in the update, the 47-year-old replied: "I probably wouldn't enjoy that. I would rather leave what we did as our thing."

Broderick can now be seen in Wonderful World, which opened in limited distribution today.
