Fillion, Cardellini join Gunn's 'Super'

Nathan Fillion and Linda Cardellini have boarded director James Gunn's comedy Super.

The stars join Rainn Wilson, Kevin Bacon, Gregg Henry and Michael Rooker in the superhero spoof, currently filming in Louisiana, reports Movieweb.

Both actors have worked with Gunn before. Fillion starred in the helmer's 2006 horror-comedy Slither and Cardellini played Velma in two Scooby Doo movies penned by Gunn.

Fillion will play a pop icon who inspires Super's lead character (Wilson) to dress up like a superhero. Cardellini is taking on the role of the hero's love interest.
