According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedian Peter Serafinowicz will play Paul McCartney, with Robin Hood star Dean Lennox Kelly as John Lennon, Cary Elwes as George Harrison and Adam Campbell as Ringo Starr.
Serafinowicz has played McCartney in the past on the BBC's The Peter Serafinowicz Show.
As with the 1968 original, The Beatles' original music has been licensed for the film, while the music performance sequences will be based on motion capture footage of tribute band The Fab Four.
The movie, produced by Zemeckis with his Imagemovers Digital partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey, is slated for a 2012 release.
