Peter Jackson sues over 'Rings' profits
Peter Jackson is suing New Line Cinema over miscalculated profits for the first Lord of the Rings movie.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring earned $314.8m (£163.6m) in the US and $556.6m (£289.2m) internationally, however Jackson's company Wingnut Films claims that New Line and and its subsidiary Katja Motion Pictures failed to accurately calculate the true revenue.

New Line also allegedly gave its affiliates preferential treatment with regard to licencing deals, reports the Associated Press.
