Cranston added to 'John Carter Of Mars'

Bryan Cranston has joined the cast of Disney/Pixar's John Carter Of Mars, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The star of AMC's Breaking Bad will play a Civil War colonel who clashes with Taylor Kitsch's eponymous soldier. The science fiction movie is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs's book series about a human who becomes involved in a war on Mars.

Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Polly Walker and James Purefoy are also among the cast for animation house Pixar's first live-action project.

WALL-E's Andrew Stanton is directing from his and Mark Andrews's script.
