Zimmer uncertain about 'Batman 3'

Composer Hans Zimmer has admitted he is unsure about plans for a third Batman film under director Christopher Nolan.

Zimmer, who composed the music for both Batman Begins and its sequel, The Dark Knight, was quizzed about another instalment after working with Nolan on Inception.

He told IGN: "I don't know if there's a Batman 3 or not. I really don't.

"When Chris tells me a paragraph of a story - at that moment the synapses will start firing. It's as simple as that."

It is not known whether Nolan will return to direct a third Batman film. Screenwriter David Goyer last year said he had been discussing possible stories with the director but other reports suggested Nolan planned on leaving the franchise.
