Bridges, Bullock honoured by Actors Guild

Best actress went to Sandra Bullock for her part in The Blind Side, in which she plays a conservative housewife who takes in a destitute football prodigy. "I was lucky that I wanted to better my work, and that I was given the opportunity," the BBC reports Bullock as saying.
The prize for best performance cast went to Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, which boasts a line-up including Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger and Christoph Waltz. Waltz also won the best supporting actor gong for his role as a manipulative Nazi officer in the movie, while Mo'Nique took home the best supporting actress award for playing an abusive mother in Precious.
The cast of AMC's 1960s saga Mad Men took the TV drama series award, while Fox's Glee accepted the gong for best comedy ensemble.
Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey won for best acting in a comedy series for their parts in NBC's 30 Rock and Betty White, 88, was honoured for her lifetime achievement in programmes such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls.
