Ritchie leaves 'Lobo' to make 'Holmes 2'

Producer Joel Silver told the Los Angeles Times that Warner Bros has shifted attention away from the comic book movie in order to move forward with the Holmes follow-up.
"I don't think he's going to do [Lobo] now," Silver said. "The studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another Sherlock Holmes. So I think we're going to be doing that. But we're seeing what happens with this."
Silver added that stars Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are keen to reprise their roles as the Baker Street sleuth and his sidekick Watson, but Brad Pitt is not confirmed as the pair's nemesis Professor Moriarty.
"Well, I mean, we talked about [casting Pitt] at one point, but you know as of right now we're not sure what we're going to do. We'll see what happens," he explained.
