Gibson reunites with 'Lethal Weapon' scribe

Mel Gibson is to reunite with his Lethal Weapon writer Shane Black on Cold Warrior, reports Variety.

Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) will direct the espionage thriller, which finds an agent from the Cold War coming out of retirement to confront a new terrorism threat from the Russians.

Chuck Mondry penned the script for the Universal project.

Gibson, who leads the cast of this week's Edge Of Darkness, will next appear in Jodie Foster's black comedy The Beaver.
