'Avatar' continues Aus box office run

James Cameron's sci-fi epic, which recently surpassed Titanic to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, pulled in $4.5 million over the weekend to easily hold off competition from Gerard Butler's Law Abiding Citizen.
Invictus and It's Complicated hold their positions at numbers three and four, while last week's runner-up Tooth Fairy slides to five.
Elsewhere, homegrown indie comedy Bran Nue Dae climbs a spot to number six, while the big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel The Road is a new entry at ten.
