Expanding its field to ten movies for the first time in six decades, the 'Best Picture' category promises to be a fascinating scrap between Avatar, The Hurt Locker, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up and Up In The Air. All the hype will surround the 'battle of the exes' between James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow, but Jason Reitman's George Clooney drama and Quentin Tarantino's WWII epic could provide upsets on the night.
