Oscars 2010 preview: Best Director

Published Tuesday, Feb 2 2010, 15:57 GMT | By Simon Reynolds
James Cameron is going head-to-head his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow for the coveted 'Best Director' prize this year, while Lee Daniels, Jason Reitman and Quentin Tarantino are also in the running for the award that Danny Boyle scooped last year for Slumdog Millionaire. Cameron's Avatar and Bigelow's The Hurt Locker are leading the nominations pack, so the 'Director' champ has a great chance of going on to lift the 'Best Picture' gong.
