Series star Kate Beckinsale, who only appeared briefly in 2009's Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, is expected to return as vampire huntress Celine.
According to Bloody Disgusting, Beckinsale might be looking to pass on the starring role in the franchise to her daughter Lily Mo Sheen, who played a young Celine in 2006's Underworld: Evolution.
Sheen's role in the new film has not been announced.
