McBride to lead comedy 'L.A.P.I.'

According to Variety, the film is based on a pitch from scribes Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan, who are reportedly writing a remake of 1980s hit Brewster's Millions.
L.A.P.I. is directed by Jody Hill, producer of McBride's HBO series Eastbound & Down.
The film marks the first project from Rough House Pictures, a new Mandate Pictures single company managed by McBride, Hill and director David Gordon Green.
