Duffy: 'Keating doesn't need my advice'

ITV

Keith Duffy has revealed that he does not plan to give any advice to Boyzone bandmate Ronan Keating as the star pursues his Hollywood ambitions.

Last month, it was confirmed that Keating had auditioned for a role in Lord Of The Rings prequel The Hobbit and is planning to move to Los Angeles in order to concentrate on movies.

Duffy branched out into acting in 2002 by securing the part of Ciaran McCarthy in Coronation Street. He has also appeared in Irish soap Fair City.

However, asked whether he will give Keating any tips, Duffy told Metro: "All of us boys have turned our hands to a lot of different things in the industry over the last 15 to 20 years, so he doesn't need my advice, he's a clever enough bloke himself."

Duffy recently returned to his role as Weatherfield's Ciaran following a four-year break from the part.
