Bullock wants more demanding roles

Sandra Bullock has complained that she is bored with playing romantic parts all the time and craves some excitement in her on-screen life, taking roles that audience may not expect her to.
The Speed star is quoted by IMDb as saying: "I don't do anything anymore that feels safe. If it doesn't scare the crap out of you, then you're not doing the right thing. The hardest thing is the comedy, if it doesn't work, it's painfully obvious.
"Name a comedy that's not a romantic comedy that a woman has been in in the past 10 or 15 years. It's hard. It's really, really hard. "
Sandra's latest comedy, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, hits screens this weekend.
In other Bullock news, the actress is to be honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
