'Saw' franchise to end with 'Saw VII'?

Melton, who co-wrote the last three Saw movies plus Saw VI, revealed that the series will probably end with the seventh film.
"I think it's going to end with Saw VII. I have a very strong feeling it's going to end with Saw VII," he told Latino Review.
Melton confirmed that the original plan was to make at least eight Saw movies, but producers have decided to conclude the series earlier than anticipated due to the poor box office showing for last year's Saw VI.
Saw VII, the franchise's first 3D picture, is to bow in cinemas on October 22, 2010.
