Speaking to MTV, Cooper said that he shares a scene with Benedict, who played Templeton 'Faceman' Peck in the 1980s TV programme.
"He plays a guy named Milt. We're in a tanning bed, in prison together," he explained.
The 35-year-old added that his silver screen version of 'Face' is a tough character who "loves running his M-4 machine gun".
The A-Team opens in US cinemas June 11.
