The new film, which will drop the National Lampoon name, is said to follow Clark Griswold's grown-up son Rusty as he takes his family on a road trip to Wally World. Chase will reprise his role as the bumbling Griswold patriarch, reports Variety.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will pen the screenplay, while Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin is attached to produce.
Chase and Vacation co-star Beverly D'Angelo recently revisited Clark and Ellen Griswold in a commercial for HomeAway vacation rentals.
