The 56-year-old actor took on the role of the mythical creature Chiron in the new film, which tells the story of a young boy who discovers he is the son of Greek god Poseidon.
Asked if he coached any of the movie's stars, Brosnan replied: "My only remark was 'Grace under pressure'. Someone said it to me a long time ago when I set sail on the Bond movies and I entered into the vortex of promoting a film and I would be going nuts at the end of the day.
"That was the only advice that I gave the lads and lasses. But they don't need it - they're all brilliant."
Brosnan also joked that it was his character's well-built physique which most attracted him to the part when he was in talks with director Chris Columbus.
He told Live From Studio Five: "Chris Columbus was very clever. He sent me this artist's impression of me as Chiron looking rather butch, looking rather brilliant actually! My ego was inflated and then I set sail and did the movie!"
