Bloom in Bond negotiations
Orlando Bloom is in negotiations to play James Bond in a prequel to the movie series.

Bloom told Hello! about his possible involvement in Young Bond: "I love the idea, in principle, as he can be far more adventurous and do more stunts. This is as near as I think I will get to playing the grown-up James for the next 20 years."

The Lord of the Rings star will play Bond in his younger years studying at Eton.

It is as yet unknown who will take Pierce Brosnan's place in the next Bond movie, Casino Royale, directed by Martin Campbell.
