According to E! Online, Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights for the psychological thriller Abandoned, featuring the late actress.
Anchor Bay President Bill Clark said: "Releasing this young actress's last film is both an honour and bittersweet.
"It was important... that the timing of this release be right, because we're sensitive to such a tragic loss. However, we also recognise that Brittany's fans will want to see her amazing work."
The film's producers also paid tribute to Murphy, claiming that she will be "deeply missed".
In a statement, they added: "The film is a taut thriller which portrays Brittany's character as smart and tough - and that's how we all want to remember her."
Abandoned is expected to be released in the summer.
