Jeff Bridges:
Jeff Bridges has revealed that he was reluctant to go into showbuisness because of his father's success.

The Crazy Heart star - who has received a 'Best Actor' nomination at the upcoming Academy Awards - said that he initially had reservations about following his parents Lloyd and Dorothy Bridges into acting.

"My dad loved showbusiness. Travelling around, working with other people, and he encouraged me to go into it," said Bridges.

"But, typical kid, you don't want to do what your parents want you to do. You don’t want to be liked because of who your father is."

However, the 60-year-old went on to say that once he was sure to wanted to pursue acting, his famous family made it easier for him to start making connections.

"The hardest thing about acting is getting a foot in the door and that was all handled by my dad," he said. "The fact is, I'm a product of nepotism. And that took some getting used to. Life will supply you with gutters. Having a famous father. Feeling that stench of nepotism. That’s a gutter right there."
