'The Hurt Locker' dominates 2010 BAFTAs

The Iraq-set war drama took home the 'Best Film' and 'Best Director' prize for Kathryn Bigelow, along with wins in the 'Original Screenplay', 'Cinematography', 'Editing' and 'Sound' categories. James Cameron's Avatar, which led the BAFTA nominations race with Hurt Locker and Brit comedy-drama An Education, nabbed technical awards for production design and visual effects.
Colin Firth and Carey Mulligan won the leading actor BAFTAs for their roles in A Single Man and An Education respectively, while the supporting gongs went to Inglourious Basterds's Christoph Waltz and Precious's Mo'Nique.
Fish Tank was named 'Outstanding British Film' and Duncan Jones awarded the 'Outstanding Debut' prize for his science fiction drama Moon.
Twilight actress Kristen Stewart won the 'Orange Rising Star' honour in the only BAFTA voted for by the public.
