Earlier this month, Warner Bros asked Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan to guide the new Superman film. Nolan has now brought on collaborator Goyer to write the superhero reboot, reports Latino Review.
According to the report, the picture is not an origin story and Goyer's script will feature classic Superman villains Lex Luthor and Brainiac.
Superman Returns director Bryan Singer and star Brandon Routh are not expected to be involved in the project.
Goyer also contributed story elements to The Dark Knight, produced Ghost Rider and wrote all three Blade movies.
