WENN
The Dormouse is normally asleep in Lewis Carroll's books, but Windsor told PA that director Tim Burton asked her to play the character differently.
She explained: "I said, 'She's normally so sleepy', but he said, 'No, I want her a little bit feisty', so that's what I gave him."
Windsor also said that she is looking forward to seeing the different characters come to life on screen.
"I'm a great friend of Matt Lucas [who plays Tweedledum and Tweedledee]," she added.
Alice in Wonderland is released on March 5.
