Sendak producing 'Purple Crayon' film

According to Pajiba, Date Night writer Josh Klausner is attached to write the picture and Sendak is shepherding the animated film into production.
The book centres on a young boy who uses a purple crayon to create an imaginary world.
Harold is considered to be Johnson's most popular work. It inspired a book series and an HBO TV show for children.
Sendak's own book Where The Wild Things Are was recently adapted for the screen by director Spike Jonze.
