'Sopranos' creator to direct rock drama

Sopranos creator David Chase is reportedly prepping to direct his first feature film.

According to Deadline New York, Chase will write and helm an as-yet-untitled drama for Paramount about a 1960s rock band.

Chase plans to produce the picture along with Mark Johnson (My Sister's Keeper).

The 64-year-old is also in talks to write, produce and direct episodes of HBO's upcoming miniseries A Ribbon of Dreams.
