Sir John Mills dies, 97

Sir John Mills has died at his home in Buckinghamshire after suffering a prolonged chest infection. He was 97.
The Oscar-winning actor was made a CBE in 1960 and was knighted in 1976. Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying that the Queen was "sorry" to hear of his death.
One of Britain's best-known actors, Sir John starred in well over 100 films since 1932, when he made his debut in The Midshipmaid.
Tributes have been pouring in since news of his death was announced.
Prime Minister Tony Blair said that Sir John was "a great actor, a true gentleman and a loyal friend; someone who made us proud to be British."
Lord Richard Attenborough described Sir John as his "oldest friend," adding that he had been "a sort of hero to me in a way." Lord Attenborough added that Sir John "kept a fatherly eye on almost everything I did."
Tributes have also been posted to the Digital Spy forums, with posters describing him as a "great English gentleman" and noting that he was "a true legend of the small screen."
