Madonna is reportedly planning to write to the Queen to ask for help with her new movie.

The singer is currently preparing to write, produce and direct a film about Wallis Simpson, the American socialite who married Prince Edward, the former King of England.

The Sunday Telegraph reports that Madonna is now planning to contact Queen Elizabeth II to ask for assistance on W.E.

One of her associates reportedly says: "Madonna is keen to make the film as authentic as possible and would be very grateful if we are allowed to film at certain locations. She loves the UK and holds your Queen in the highest regard."

However, a courtier explained that it is unlikely that Madonna will be allowed to shoot in the royal palaces.

"I can't imagine that Her Majesty would make an exception, particularly for a film about Wallis Simpson," he said.
