Forest Whitaker has said that he enjoyed filming Repo Men because he got to beat people up the "old-fashioned way".

The Oscar-winning actor said that he welcomed the change of pace in choosing an action film rather than a serious drama.

Whitaker told Contactmusic: "I play a guy who sells body parts in the future. But I take them back if the person doesn't pay.

"The guy I play actually loves his job and loves inflicting pain. For me, it was fun because this is a big action movie, but it's not guns blazing. I get to hit people the old-fashioned way instead of shooting them."

Repo Men is released on March 19 in the US and on April 23 in the UK.
