'G.I. Joe' actor joins 'Conan'

Said Taghmaoui has reportedly landed a role in the Conan remake.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taghmaoui has signed to play a leader of a group of thieves who is captured by Conan (Jason Momoa).

Taghmaoui's character later offers Conan aid in defeating warlord Khalar Singh (Stephen Lang).

The 36-year-old appeared as Breaker in last year's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. He also played the recurring role of Caeser on the fifth season of ABC's Lost.

Ron Perlman recently signed to star as Conan's father.

Production is scheduled to begin this week in Bulgaria.
