Jason Segel confirmed for 'Muppets' lead

Segel and Nicholas Stoller have written the screenplay for the film, which will see the How I Met Your Mother star play a man who tries to get the disbanded Muppets back together to put on a show.
Flight Of The Conchords director James Bobin was hired to helm the new Muppets film after Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) dropped out to work on Russell Brand's Get Him To The Greek.
Previous actors to have shared big screen adventures with Kermit, Miss Piggy and the Jim Henson creations include Charles Grodin (The Great Muppet Caper), Michael Caine (The Muppet Christmas Carol) and Kevin Bishop (Muppet Treasure Island).
