Speaking to Digital Spy at the movie's UK premiere, the Twilight actor admitted that he rarely sees films that feel "real" to him.
"It felt very different to everything else that was out there and it felt was very real and I don't think most films do feel very real in the way they're written so hopefully that comes across," he said, adding of his character Tyler Hawkins: "I really liked the guy, I really related to him."
Commenting on the fan reception for Pattinson at the premiere, Remember Me producer Nick Osborne said: "This is our normal day shooting on set! It's tough because there's Rob and Emilie [de Ravin], or Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper trying to create a very deep scene or intense moment and you have a lot of fans or paparazzi.
"They handled themselves great. We're this tiny little movie and we had to spend all this money on security!"
